The book I have read is “Friday Night Lights” by H. G. Bissinger. My main interest of the book that I want to talk about is the obsession of football in Texas which helped me to develop my research question, “What makes football in Texas an obsession?”
It became apparent that this was a town where highschool football went to the very core of life (Bissinger,1996). Most people will a remember a big sporting event they attended before remembering something that they learned in math class. That is pretty obvious. But just how far is too far? In Odessa, Texas, whether you were on the field or sitting in the stands, football consumed your life. Stores are closed down, school is let out, and all activities and functions were postponed for there highschool football games. Football in that town was the number one priority and academics and social life wnt downhill due to the town’s main concern for the sport. Sports can very well distract you from the core purpose of everyday life (Goidel & Hamilton, 2006). Mostly there are negative consequences for putting a sport before anything else, but there is a way to have a positive outcome from this( Goidel & Hamilton, 2006). Priveleges can be taken away from athletes in order to play the sports they love so much.

perfect in-text citations and good summary/response.
look at your references again – you forgot a basic rule: alphabetize your lists! And where are the final periods? How about capitalizing the title of a book? Pages of an article?
