Article Number 2:
This article states that a Lit review discusses published information in a particular subject. It can be a summary of sources or a reshuffling of the important information. The main purpose of a Lit review is to summarize the arguments of others, instead of the writers opinon. The Lit review will give a handy guide to a particular topic. Before writing a Lit review, first the writer needs to Clarify what he/she wants to say. Then find models of other Lit reviews so that the writer can fully understand what they need to write. After finding a model they need to narrow down their topic so that it is a specific topic, so it is easier for the writer to limit the number of sources they need to read. After doing all this the writer needs to find a focus and construct a working thesis statement. They also need to organize the body of what they want to say, and begin composing thier Lit review. While writing the Lit review the writer needs to use evidence, be selective, use quote sparingly, summarize while still keeping the writers own voice, lastly use caution with paraphasing. At the end of the Lit review the writer needs to make sure they revise, revise, revise.
